Update: Important Information Pertaining to CA Workers’ Compensation Policies under Accredited Surety & Casualty Company, Inc.


The following email was sent on December 16th, 2020 to all insured’s with an active California policy under Accredited Surety & Casualty Company, Inc.:


Dear Policyholder,

Accredited and Atlas understand that some of our policyholders may still be facing fiscal challenges, as a result of the pandemic. We stand ready to work with impacted policyholders to ensure continuity of coverage due to the COVID-19 public health emergency.

In response to the December 3, 2020 ‘Stay at Home’ amended Order by The Insurance Commissioner, Ricardo Lara, we will continue to take further measures to ensure that each policy reflects the correct exposure for the premium relief for those who are still affected by Covid-19.

We acknowledge that certain insureds’ policies, may be overstated or misclassified during these unprecedented times, so we are continuing to remind our insureds of the following;

  • For policyholders that elected the GoPay/Payroll Reporting payment plan at inception of your policy, no further action is required on your part, provided that you are reporting accurate payrolls, based on your monthly payroll.
  • For Policyholders that elected an Installment payment plan at inception of your policy, if you believe that your payroll has been adversely impacted by the Governors “shelter-in-place” order, we encourage you to contact your broker, to provide updated and accurate payroll from September, October, November or through December, 2020.
