Job Purpose:
Seeking an experienced HR Generalist who is a self-starter and can work independently yet thrive in a team environment. The ideal candidate is someone who can immediately assume all HR-related functions and manage employee/employer relations to foster a positive work environment as company continues to grow.
Duties
- Manage employee relations
- Administer employee benefits (health, dental, 401k, FSA)
- Process payroll
- Maintain, update, and review employee files
- Manage and facilitate employee performance review process
- Manage employee absences (LOA, PTO, WC)
- Serve as a management resource for HR-related items
- Compile variety of HR-related reports for management team
- Work with management to develop, implement, and administer policies
- Manage recruiting and staffing process
- Employee safety
- Develop and facilitate employee orientation, development, and training
- Review and process regulatory requirements (ERISA, UI)
- Maintain HR portal
- Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in a variety of HR functions: managing employee relations, administering benefits, compliance
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Excellent organization skills
- Excellent MS Office and other computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe)
- Excellent judgment and objectivity
- Familiarity with Paychex Preview and HR Online a plus
- Familiarity with start-up and/or young companies a plus
- Conflict resolution and negotiation experience a plus
