CEO & President
Under Bill Trzos, Atlas has become one of the largest privately held program administrators in the nation. Trzos began his career in 1995 as a commercial lines insurance underwriter. In 2001, he founded Cypress Point Insurance Services, where he managed more than $300 million of program insurance business. He then led the sale of Cypress Point to Arrowhead General Insurance in 2005, where he managed a team that wrote more than $1.6 billion of premium from 2005 through 2008. Founded in 2009, Atlas is projected to write in excess of $400 million of premium nationally in 2016, within multiple lines of insurance. In 2015, Trzos directed a capital investment and strategic partnership between Atlas and Vanbridge Holdings LLC, an insurance intermediary, capital advisory, insurance and reinsurance management firm based in New York. Vanbridge continues to leverage the unique services offered by Atlas, making it a significant power in the program administrator space of the industry.
Executive Team - RCRyan Clarkson
Chief Operating Officer

Ryan Clarkson is responsible for strategic operations, including the integration of new programs and lines of business into Atlas’ existing platform. Clarkson is responsible for enhancing information technology, service offerings, and enforcing company service standards which includes regulatory compliance. Prior to Atlas, Clarkson served as the senior director at UnitedHealth Group. He has over fifteen years of experience in information technology, systems, operations management, product development and cross-functional team leadership with leading Fortune 500 companies.
Executive Team - BPBrad Perilman
Chief Financial Officer

Brad Perilman has a wide range of responsibilities at Atlas, which include a core focus on the development of financial strategies and corporate development. Perilman leads the fiscal team tasked with corporate and financial compliance and serves as a key member of the executive management board. Perilman has transactional experience in both U.S. and European reinsurance markets. Prior to joining Atlas, Perilman served as a Director at Aon Benfield Securities, Inc. in New York, where he was responsible for executing merger and acquisition transactions. These included private equity capital raisings with a primary focus on start-up reinsurance companies. Perilman has also held positions at Marsh and Mercer Consulting Group.
Executive Team - MMMike Mathews
President, Workers’ Compensation Division

Mike Mathews is responsible for the development and national distribution of the Workers’ Compensation Division. Prior to Atlas, Mathews led program development and distribution at Arrowhead General Insurance Agency in the Workers’ Compensation Division. He has over twenty years of industry experience with a multi-line underwriting background from Ohio Casualty and Liberty Mutual. Mathews also served as Marsh’s Workers’ Compensation Practice Leader for ten years.
Executive Team - APAndrew Petersen
Chief Corporate Development Officer

With a multitude of responsibilities that include business development for new carriers, new programs, new lines of business, and geographic expansion, Andrew Petersen is responsible for identifying strategic acquisition targets that enhance the Atlas platform and provide better options for its clients. Prior to joining Atlas, Petersen held senior positions at Guy Carpenter and Collins Associates before it was sold to Guy Carpenter in 2009. Most recently, Petersen was Senior Vice President of Guy Carpenter in San Francisco where he was co-head of production. Petersen has experience in casualty driven reinsurance placement, portfolio management, and has worked extensively in the workers’ compensation and MGA space.

Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel
Experienced in transactions, litigation, and labor and employment, Ryan Kirby’s legal background provides Atlas with a bridge between law and operations. Kirby is responsible for enabling Atlas to better evaluate effective legal strategies as it continues to grow nationally. For the past decade, Kirby has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies inside and outside the industry while an attorney in private practice. Kirby received his J.D. from the University of San Diego in 2007. Prior to law school, Kirby worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. as a legislative aide for Congress. Selected as a Super Lawyers rising star in 2016, Kirby brings significant legal expertise to the Atlas executive management board.

President of Commercial Division

Joe Zuk is responsible for strategic development of new products, acquisitions, carrier relationships, new programs, and geographic expansion at Atlas. Zuk leads the Commercial Division with a focus on maintaining carrier relationships, development of new admitted and E&S carriers, and management of the acquisition of underwriting personnel for the division. With a focus on result driven underwriting, Zuk provides commercial/specialty insurance products and services to small businesses through national retail distribution channels. Zuk has ten years of experience in the reinsurance space including roles in underwriting and brokering. Prior to joining Atlas, Zuk was the Senior Vice President at BMS Intermediaries, Inc., responsible for the development and strategy of BMS’ nationwide initiatives.

Chief Actuarial Officer
Tomer Eilam is responsible for Atlas’ actuarial analytics, and for helping to identify and research profitable growth opportunities for our carrier partners. Eilam is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and has focused most of his career on California Workers’ Compensation insurance. Prior to joining Atlas, Eilam was Principal of Omega Actuarial Analytics, where he provided actuarial consulting to insurance, research and insurtech companies. He has also held senior positions with Preferred Employers Insurance Company, a subsidiary of W.R. Berkley Corporation, and Arrowhead General Insurance Agency and has served on the Actuarial Committee of the California Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau.

Executive Vice President, Workers’ Compensation Division

Mark Williams is responsible for driving profitable workers’ compensation and premium growth nationwide. Williams assists in the management of all underwriting personnel in the Workers’ Compensation Division. Williams was one of the first five employees at Atlas, where he originally focused on underwriting and has progressed into an experienced management role. For the past twelve years Williams’ has worked in underwriting, audit, loss control and claims handling within the workers’ compensation segment. Prior to Atlas, Williams’ worked for Preferred Employers Insurance, a subsidiary of W.R. Berkley Corporation.
